Quiénes somos
Fundado en 2014, Magma Partners es un destacado VC en Latinoamérica. Hemos invertido en más de 125 startups que están solucionando problemas importantes en LatAm, generando grandes rendimientos para nuestros inversionistas. Cada año, evaluamos a más de 1000 emprendedores de toda América Latina y seleccionamos entre 20 y 25 startups para invertir.
Our team is fully remote and our portfolio has founders in 30+ cities around Latin America, the US, and Europe.
Why content is so important to us
We believe the strongest brands of the future will likely have well built-out media arms. The best brands will own their own communications channels, whether that's blogs, media sites, podcasts, social channels, and more. Both Magma and our portfolio companies need to double and triple down on content in order to continue to be successful. We are looking to expand our team and continue to invest in content.

Lo que necesitamos
We are looking for excellent freelance writers who are proactive, curious about the tech and venture capital industry in Latin America, and great communicators. We work in a dynamic, diverse setting that offers constant opportunities to learn intimately about what is happening in Latin America tech.
You must be a native-level English speaker and be comfortable reading and writing in Spanish, Portuguese, or both. To be successful as a content specialist, you’ll need to be able to communicate directly and clearly. As you will be working remotely, it is important that you are self-driven and motivated.
Qué harás
As an English Content Specialist, you will be writing different types of articles, beginning with news articles on Latamlist.com. For top writers, we will offer additional types of content to work on, such as translations on our Magma blog, podcast show notes, and newsletters.
You will start by writing a couple of articles, and eventually grow to take on multiple articles per week if we are confident in your writing abilities.
In the medium term, we are looking for people who consistently deliver high quality work, and are autonomous and proactive. Our goal is to hire top writers to our team on a full-time basis.
Responsabilidades
- Write news articles on Latamlist.com
- Translate articles from Spanish and/or Portuguese to English
- Write podcast show notes
- Write newsletters
- Research, outline, and draft articles for Magma Partners/portfolio companies’ blogs in English.
Acerca de ti
- Native fluency in English; familiarity with Spanish. Portuguese is a plus but not required!
- Escritor creativo y analítico con facilidad para comprender y simplificar temas complejos.
- Proactive, and open to feedback
- Able to work independently and on a team
- Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office
